Flipping Websites-Is it Profitable?

Flipping websites is a craze that is catching on in the internet world today.Webmasters are making massive bucks flipping sites that are either turnkey or established. A 22 year old sold a banking blog for $15 million recently.
I know a lot of folks are skeptical about the profitability of selling an already profitable site where you are getting a reasonable flow of income from.. Nevertheless, there are plausible reasons to sell your website if you want. The internet is constantly changing so that what is a hit today may become obsolete in a small time interval.

  1. Most webmasters have an overload of sites to cater to.Giving attention to some sites means others which may be good, are left unattended to.You have only one life to live. The human mind can be focussed on so much.An overload is certainly what you cant afford, to keep your sanity. Take a  good look at your sites and see which one can be sold off and put it on the auction site. You make good bucks as well.
  2. The constantly changing rules of Google-No one is sure how Google  changes its algorithm, but webmasters have been fighting small wars over their fall from a page rank of 6 to a page rank of 3 or 4 over time. Many webmasters have become wiser now .Flipping a website that is profitable may be your answer. This is not to say you must sell off  sites for peanuts. If the price is good, go for it to avoid the saddening experience of search engine manipulation. And as you flip a website, you can always build new ones in other profitable niches as they arise.
  3. A not- too -profitable site-There are sites you may have spent time posting good content in and there may be  a good stream of  traffic coming in, but for some reason, you are not getting any appreciable income from it.Instead of allowing such a site to die  a natural death, it will be advisable to put it up for auction. That way, you  make more money than when you were keeping it.
Auction sites like SitePoints.com flips websites from the range of $10000-$50000 depending on the quality of the site. Site brokers handle transactions for start-up(turnkey) and established sites.
Start-up or turnkey sites are fresh sites that require creating a template and putting in at least 10 unique pages of content and listing the site on auction. Conservatively, you can make $100-$150.
Established sites are those with quality content, may have been on the web for long and have a  steady  amount of traffic. Obviously, you make more money with these ones.A fellow blogger got more than 1k flipping a blog.
The ball is in your court.Take a good look at your sites and see which one  you can part  with and give it a try. We will be glad if you post your results here for others to see.
As always, I`m passionately committed to increased profits for you.
God bless you in your endeavors.

Promoting A Product On Clickbank Dont Have To Be A Nightmare!

Clickbank is a vast online marketplace for digital products (over 10,000 products). With this large product catalog, choosing an ideal product to promote can be a nightmarish experience for a newbie. If you try to sort, catalog and understand every product, yuor mind  can get so overwhelmed, you will not be able to figure out which products are the winners for you to promote and get the big bucks from. To be successful with the clickbank system, you need to be a  smart marketer by learning first, how to  pick the right product for your market and how to promote same to land big sales from the system.
First things first.Set up an  account with clickbank. It is easy to do and its free but there are some few countries that cant have account on clickbank. Its advisable to check out their FAQS and terms of service.
Now how do you go about looking for the right product to promote in clickbank?
The first thing  you will notice when you start looking for a  product to promote is that there is a small elite group  of products that are clearly the most popular  sellers in the catalog.Any newbie may be drawn to these products based on the thought that if they are popular now, why not cash in on the wave and get some of the revenue from all these sales. But one very important point to remember is that a popular  product is also one that hundreds if not thousands  of affiliates are promoting. So the web will be full of different sales pitches for that particular product. Its not wise to join the flood-in other words- dont promote such products.
With that said ,you should not go for for a product  that is not selling well just because it isnt on  a lot of other affiliate websites. The skill is to pick a product for which there is a good market that has not been "heavily tapped" yet. Its tricky business but you should give yourself permission to experiment. You may not strike gold with the  first product you select, but  you will make some money and you can experiment and learn how to choose the right product over time.Every market has an "intuition" to it and you can develop this gut feeling as you continue to experiment .
The positioning of a product and how it  is already performing in the market are some other factors to consider in choosing the right product to promote. Take a look at the sales copy accompanying the product.Put yourself in your prospects` shoes. Is the sales copy good enough to make you buy? If it cant convince you to buy, it probably wont convince your prospect. Its best to steer clear of products with poor sales copy.
Another variable to consider when looking for the right product to promote is commissions. As mentioned in earlier posts, you should always go for products with outstanding commissions.A commission on the sale of a product at clickbank can range from 1% to 75%.A very important point to remember is never to promote a product that pays less than 50% commission. That way, even if your sales are not forthcoming in large quantities, you still make a decent return on investment for promoting the product and the product owner makes money as well.
So make  your clickbank marketing experience sweeter by applying these strategies.Post your results here for all to see.
God bless you in your endeavours.

A Sneak Peek at several factors that can Affect your affiliate marketing commissions.

Commissions are a type of performance -based income, in that the amount of commissions depends on how much an affiliate can produce based on the sales brought in by his leads. There are several factors that will affect the amount of commissions you will earn from an affiliate marketing program.

  • The choice of affiliate marketing program:Affiliate marketing programs are all over the web.Not all pay the same amount of commissions to their affiliates. There are programs offering a low pay scale ranging from about 5-15 percent per sale or performance while others may pay as much as 60-75 percent, all dependent on the type of products or services being offered. Bottomline is,choosing a program that pays a higher commission will result to higher sales. However, this is tricky. If you have a hot niche or at least a good market following, taking advantage of affiliate marketing that pays higher commissions will be a no brainer. But if you cannot capture the desired market, you might want to combine a number of programs that will bring you the kind of income you desire. The type of earning opportunity an affiliate program offers, will also make a difference in the amount of commissions you can hope to earn.Two-tier programs, for example offer a better income generating opportunity than flat programs. They offer two sources of of income namely, from commissions on sales o f a product or service and from recruitment of a new affiliate. There are also affiliate programs that offer recurring commissions in which an affiliate can earn each time a lead or member renews a subscription or membership. This means you can be earning for as long as your lead or recruit continues to use the product or service. Giving careful consideration to these earning opportunities is important to maximizing your profits.
  • Product Type: That your choice of product affects your commissions cannot be overemphasized. Promoting a product in a saturated market will mean less or no sales for you. For example, the credit card market is virtually saturated right now.On the other hand, a popular or in-demand item can mean large sales if you have a strong and ready market. You will need to research how you can perform based on statistics offered by the affiliate marketing program you wish to join. Clickbank, for example, provides you with the necessary information about a product based on past performance.
  • Available Market:Affiliate commissions are heavily dependent on how effective the affiliate sales and marketing strategies are. The type of market an affiliate chooses to sell to and also the affiliate popularity in the market also determines commissions earned. A small but highly targeted market is more likely to bring in higher commissions for an affiliate while a large but generic market may not produce the same results.

  • The Conversion Period: This refers to the time from which you bring in your lead until the time that he performs a desired action. You will as much as possible, try to shorten this time interval. This action varies - a lead may subscribe to a service, purchase a product, take part in an online poll or become an affiliate. The incentives you give will determine the conversion of customers to buyers. The conversion period can last from a very few hours to about 30-60 days. Bottom line is you have to be persuasive enough so that your leads can shorten the conversion period. Apply these strategies carefully and see your commissions rise to the next level.
God bless you in your endeavors.
TO your success.

Affiliate Marketing-Taking Your Profits TO the Next level.

Affiliate marketing simply implies selling other people`s products and earning a commission for doing so.To make money in affiliate marketing, you need to find a product that converts well,a product that is in- demand and that people are actively searching for. In other words ,you have to do your homework if you intend to make money.
Here are some powerful tips to take your affiliate marketing profits to the next level.
  • Keywords:You need to identify the core keyword phrase for the product you want to promote. It is necessary to use the words that works best for the product,e.g.buying, earning, shopping e.t.c. You may also want to see whether you can cross-sell more products in your niche.
  • Niche:All niches are not the same. Search for profitable niches using the free tool, word tracker and google adword keyword tool. As a beginner,in order not to get lost in the the ocean of the web,go for niches that have search averages in their thousands. You will have less competition with them.
  • Affiliate programs:Affiliate programs are a dime a dozen. However , not all are the same. Quality, support, high commissions, reputation are some of the things you should look out for. You are putting in a lot of effort promoting a product, you should be paid well for your efforts. So ,you should go for affiliate programs that pay a high commission, not peanuts. Also look for affiliate programs that have second tier commissions, that way you earn on your downline as well.
  • Create A Squeeze Page:It`S not advisable to send prospects directly to your merchant website, more so when you are just starting out.Remember there are many other affiliates promoting the same product with you. To get your own list of subscribers, you should create a squeeze page that enables you to capture the e-mails of your visitors when they download say-a free report.Apart from free report on the product you can also do website reviews, this will increase your credibility in your niche. Aweber or get response are good auto responders that can help you keep a tab on your prospects. They help you get you very own list. Sending prospects to your merchant website directly means they are lost to you forever, this will not be of any benefit to you if you want to be online for the long haul.
  • Effective Marketing:The most effective way to market your affiliate products is through PPC search engines.Learn to write enticing pay per click ads.PPC campaigns like Google adwords and overture are very good; you will have to test to see which ads are more effective and dispose of the ineffective ones.
  • Negotiate Your commissions:Most affiliates don't know you can ask for higher commissions. If you are cranking out sale after sale and you are a zero-risk investment to your merchant, you can discuss with your merchant to increase your commission. The merchant will most likely consider doing so, since he has an asset he will not like to lose.
If you apply these points diligently your profits will soar, your income will be better for it.
To your success.
